Creating a website is something all most all web entrepreneursand Bloggers know but if you are fond of the web world, you must have wanted to own a site of your own. However, here we are to teach you the procedure to purchase a domain, get hosting and install WordPress.
Domain Registration with Godaddy
First of all, go to godaddy[dot]com and search for an available domain name by typing your desired domain names on the ‘Search’ box that is situated in the middle of the webpage. Check for the availability of a perfect and appropriate domain name.It may take some time as your desired domain names may be registered earlier.

Go Daddly

Like, in the above picture, I searched for a domain name “bharatwebactivities” which was available under [dot]com extension. But, godaddy also suggested me with some more extensions of the same domain name. So, you can use any extension according to your purpose.

I was lucky to get the domain I wanted along with the domain name I desired and may be you could be lucky too. If you aint lucky enough, you gotta spend some time searching for a name or you can prefer to use the same name with other extensionsuch as .net, .org, .info, .tv, etc.

Now, click on ‘Add’ and once it is added, check mark ‘Only Domain,’ click on ‘Add’ below and then click on ‘Continue to Checkout’ on the right. The next window displayed asks you about ‘What you want to do with your Domain’ and you need not do anything here, simply click on ‘Continue.’

On the next window, you have to choose the term for your domain, like I have chosen ‘1year’ in the image below. Then click on ‘Proceed to Checkout.’

On the next window, you need to Sign In if you have an account or else click on ‘Continue’ under New Customers. This will take you to the page where you need to fill up all your details and Billing information.

Fill all details starting from name to address.

Then scroll down the page to fill all you billing details such as the paying format you are comfortable such as Credit/Debit/Prepaid Card followed by your Credit card number, Security Code, Name on Card, etc.

Go through the Terms of Service and Registration Agreement documents carefully and then click on ‘Checkout Now’with which the domain is yours.
Hosting with Hostgator
Firstly, go to Hostgator[dot]com and click on the ‘View Web Hosting Plans’ situated in the middle of the webpage as shown in the image below.

This takes you to a page where you find some hosting plans, specifically – Hatchling Plan, Baby Plan and the Business Plan. Go through the details of each plan and choose the one you want and desire to host with.

In the picture above, I selected to host with the Baby Plan to set an example before you of hosting with Hostgator. So, when you select the Baby Plan, the next webpage comes up just as shown in the pictures below.

Here, you need to first checkmark the ‘I already own this domain’ tab followed by entering your domain name in the blank below just as I entered “,” the domain I had just purchased from Godaddy.

Then, select the Package type as ‘Baby’ and then select the Billing cycle that you are comfortable and affordable with. Next, enter a username which should not contain capital letter, values and special characters but should start with a letter and should be 2 to 8 characters long just as I have used ‘abcdwxyz’ in the below picture. Likewise, enter a Security Pin that should contain only numbers being 4 to 8 characters long just as I have used ‘12345678’ in the image below.

Next, fill up all your details for Billing and Payment information in the given appropriate blanks.

Then, use the coupon the coupon that you find valuable just as I have used DOMAINSALE in the image below. Check for other coupon codes that avail some good and beneficiary offer. Go through the Terms and Conditions, checkmark the box and then click on ‘Create Account.’

With this, you’ve got the hosting for your website and you will get an email with some information on your login details and passwords from Hostgator. Place all these information in a safe place so that you get access to them later at the time of use.
Well, you may have to wait before proceeding for the next activities as Hostgator has to confirm the hosting setup from their side.
